Selected as NANRO Next's third Fellow, Chef Suyoung Park rose from head chef to director at Jungsik in New York — making his name at the very top of New York's Korean fine-dining scene — and received the Blancpain × MICHELIN Guide New York Young Chef Award in 2021. In 2024 he closed the Jungsik chapter, spent time running gelato pop-ups between New York and LA as an extended experiment, and is now at the moment of settling his own brand, Lefty Gelateria, into a physical shop.
He first met gelato as a comfort during his student years in New York, and it is that same feeling — people breaking into a smile in front of a scoop of ice cream — that he now wants to hand back through his own kitchen. It is at this new beginning that he joins NANRO Next as its third Fellow.
