The World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy — the body behind the global fine-dining guides World's 50 Best Restaurants and Asia's 50 Best Restaurants — has appointed Chef Choi Jung-yoon (pictured) as its Chair for Korea.

Korea had until now been grouped together with China; the two are being separated into their own regions. William Drew, content director for the World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, said the move "reflects the growing importance of both Korea and China within the global fine-dining market."
